Bright White Object Seen Over New Jersey Turnpike

Date:  February 3, 2012
Time:  10:17 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round bright white light.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: While driving south on the NJ Turnpike, I also saw the light in the sky descending toward the southwest on February 3rd, 2012 at 10:17 p.m..

It was too slow to be a meteor, but faster than a jet. It was bright white at it's highest point, then faded, then got brighter again as it got closer to the horizon. Seemed more like a satellite falling from the sky.

It took 3 or 4 seconds to fall from the upper middle of the windshield down to the horizon as it went from left to right as we headed south.
I saw the same type of descending light toward the south off the beach while fishing at Pt. Pleasant, NJ a few years ago in the summer as it headed west to east. But this light seemed more yellowish or orange.

The slow speed suggests something man-made.
