I just saw this 5 minutes ago, over St. Pete.

Yes, over St Petersburg. The lights were glowing orange, like a flame flickering. It was about 9:15 p.m. this evening. There were three in a line, one above the other, equally spaced.
They were bright and seems to come toward us. One broke the formation, went off to the side, then just blinked out.
The second did the same, but it took a few minutes for the last to disappear.

I saw it too on St. Pete beach 1/1/12 around 12:05 AM. I just saw one big orange/reddish colored ball in the sky..it kinda stayed in one spot for a few minutes & then went down & back up...i looked away for a second & turned back to see what it was doing, it had disappeared at that point. It definately was NOT fireworks/the moon/or a plane...it was strange, something Ive never seen before in my life. Im not sure what it could be.
