Posted: January 23, 2008

Date: March 11, 2007 Time: Approx: 8:00 p.m.

Message: Southwest Michigan Fireball/Meteor Sighting (March 11, 2007)

My wife and I say this same object, presumably a meteorite, just after 8:00 on 11 March 2007.

We live in Northeastern Michigan (Oscoda) and saw the very large and distinct meteorite outside our south facing windows. It was heading downward, in a SE direction and appeared to be headed for Lake Huron. The fire ball was large, pink and blue, with details and pieces falling away.

Thank you to the witness for the report.
