Lagrange, Illinois Fireball/Meteor Sighting

Posted: January 23, 2008

Date: March 11, 2007 Time: Around 7:00 p.m., not sure.

Location of Sighting: Cermak and 1st Ave, Lagrange Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Circle.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving east on Cermak and I was looking straight ahead and saw a yellow circle like object fly from north to south on a little bit of a downward angle. It had a yellow tail, and disappeared after about 2 seconds. Right away I thought, it was a UFO, because I always had wanted to see one, but then I gave it some more thought and said maybe it was a meteor or something like that. As it was flying from north to south (looking at it from my view that would have been left to right). It seemed to be really bright and flashy. I knew I saw maybe like an outer ring of yellow around the main ball of yellow. I believe that is it.

Thank you to the witness for the report.
